What are LED Video Wall Displays?
Quite simply, it is any display made up of groups of LEDs laid out in a format that displays an image. It could be any size, shape, or pixel pitch.
What is pixel pitch?
Pixel pitch refers to the spacing between each “pixel”. In our LED displays is the distance between the LED chips that each have a Red, Green, and Blue LED. Our range from the center to center of these LED chips, goes from from 1mm all the way up to 4mm.
Why does pixel pitch matter?
Optimal pixel pitch is determined by several things depending on the space the LED Video Wall Display is installed in. The closer a viewer needs to be to the wall, the smaller the pixel pitch should be. This makes the content appear as one complete image and not a pixelated version. Your desired resolution can drive the pixel pitch decision – the closer the pixels are together, the more pixels on the LED Display.
For instance, one of our walls at a size of approximately 15’ x 8’ at 4mm pixel pitch has approximately 672,000 pixels. At a 2.5mm pixel pitch, you have more than 1.7 million pixels – almost 3 times the pixels!
